What items to sell on eBay

Hi all.

The reason why I made this new thread I was wondering what’s good to sell on eBay and low risk items that everyone goes for ?

Re: What items to sell on eBay

Have you done some simple research?

Simply search up some items that interest you, or you think are hot, and do some checking to see how many other sellers have sold, and for what price.

Shipping supplies work very well for building up an account with little to no risk.

Re: What items to sell on eBay

Since you are in the UK, you can try items from your local pound shop. In the sates we have "dollar stores" like Dollar General, Dollar Tree, etc. There are lots of ideas there.

Try hardware - you'd be surprised how people will pay for 10 nails, screws, washers, various fittings instead of 20, 50 or 100.

Re: What items to sell on eBay

I did try researching on YouTube watching videos and tried google searching on Alibaba.com and other Chineses sites looking for buying in bulk order cheap items and still don’t get the idea a bit need little help.

I just sell high risk digital goods that eBay keeps removing and ends up suspending the account. But there’s okay money in it and I want more money and no suspensions.

@agent006140 for starters I don’t even know where to look I also seen YouTube videos and still didn’t get the ideas from it and from the Chinese sites they might scam me to so I’m not sure where to purchase from in bulk.

Re: What items to sell on eBay

The situation on eBay.co.uk is ruthless and prices are predatory to profits. I was thinking about selling on that platform, but after researching that market a little bit I came to the conclusion that a lot of sellers are following the model of sell 1 million item to make 1 million dollars.

The culture of the sellers' community really dictates the market model. I am not sure, but I think eBay.co.uk is dominated by Pakistanis, Indians & Chinese people who reside in the UK who drove prices down the toilet.

some will look into for sale bins in supermarket, drugstore and HD,LOwe.
Some buy Halloween items after it is over so they can sell them next year.
thrift shops are popular except everyone is there.

Finding the first item can be hard. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier. Just keep searching and you'll find something.

Re: What items to sell on eBay

Yes it’s really hard to find a supplier. They have to be cheap to so there’s some profit in it. ATM I’m only going to the Chineses sites as I can’t find any suppliers in different regions.

Check what the Chinese sellers are selling. These guys usually have accounts with 3000+ in monthly feedbacks and they mostly sell cheap items.

You have a Pound store there in UK right? Buy some and charge 5 quits for your item.

Yeah. Pound stores are good I’m just going to one now to see. I also was looking at rechargeable batteries on amazon they’re few pounds cheaper on there and on eBay they’re bit high prices so I can start on batteries if I want buy some in bulk and put on eBay.

If your digital items are getting VeRo'd when you list them, selling some cheap pound shop junk is not going to stop that happening.

What makes you think that if I sell the pound junk I’ll still let suspended ?

Ebayorbust 03-09-2019 08:51 AM

Re: What items to sell on eBay

If your listings for digital items are being removed because you don't have the authority to sell such items then selling pound shop crap for a week or two is not going to suddenly make those listings invisible to VeRo agents.

Selling pound shop items will certainly help you get the account established and minimise the risk of suspension that can result after creating the first few listings but that's all.

I often find UK sellers on Ebay USA,they have some nice items,UK has been around longer than US,some households may not be rich, but they inherited some nice antiques.

the way these liquidation site works is that they have connnection to buy from stores like WMT,BBY,SEARS etc returns, you dont get to choose ,they will say for $x amount, you get electronics, clothes, jewelry ,tools etc.
electronics is popular so you have to pay more, they dont sell in small lots, some will require you to have a warehouse dock to unload the pallets,if you live in a residential neighborhood, some may not allow trucks to load and unload,or ifyou live in an apt ,that is not possible,
but now you can get smaller shipment,if you have a garage ,you can just accept the shipment there.
smaller lots would cost more,if you can handle pallets of goods, you get them for less.
another place to get items cheap would be watching for store closure,if a near by Sears or WMT superstore is closing, some will go with a trailer or station wagon and buy as much as they can and list them on AMZN

What items do you sell ? Mp me if you don’t wanna say on the thread.

Re: What items to sell on eBay

Right now I've got 4 new accounts that sell office supplies mostly from the Dollar Store. I "incubate" these new 5/500 accounts by listing things like pen sets, correction fluid, paperclips, etc. I list most of the items for very cheap, or in bundles for under $5.

My goal is to build sales history, which in my view is far more important than feedback. I want actual sales that go through PayPal, which always leads to limit increases and my ability to list more expensive items.

Some of the sale items in Asda can be resold for profit on eBay, you can use an app on your phone to scan the bar code and see what is selling for on eBay and Amazon, you can also do this in the big hardware stores that do big mark down on surplus stock.

Providing you do not use manufacturers images in your listing the likelihood of vero complaints is low.
