Ebay Germany Tax Listings removed
 

Hi,
iam an newbie ebay dropshipper, from amazon to ebay.de since couple of months,

now ebay.de removed all my listing because they required a german VAT nummber document to be uploded.

they removed most of chineses and dropshipping Sellers as well, but most of them are back again to sell.

BTW ebay did the same in UK last year.

is there any blackhat trick to escape that issue ??

if you search an item on ebay.de , you will see that between the resulats there are some dropshippers listed, and there listings are not removed ??!!

if you are dropshipping AMZN to EBAY Germany,you must have a prime account with AMZN,can you ask AMZN to ship overseas to a FRIEND?

i didnt get where is the relation to the topic, but yes i have a prime account.
but amazon dont ship overseas but the sellers on Amazon do.

The best way for you to conduct business on eBay is to have a number of stealth accounts and stop selling each year before you reach the threshold.

I think this new VAT requirement is meant for the entire EU and not just Germany. eBay in their e-mail told me that they are required by law to check every VAT document they get thoroughly.

I think the finance ministry of Germany would have had implemented some kind of mechanism that will enable eBay to check the legitimacy of uploaded VAT documents before they make that a law for e-marketplaces. Think about it, all they have to do is give eBay/Amazon a partial access to their database so that the VAT number along with the attached name to it could get double-checked instantly.

If the above mechanism or something similar to it turned out to be just a theory of mine, I think a lot of Asia-based sellers will forge VAT documents to avoid paying VAT. The only legit way I see for VAT to be effectively collected is by forcing eBay/Amazon to collect VAT from end-prices and wire-transfer that collected amount themselves to the finance authority of the respected country.

Please elaborate a little bit. Why do you think they will get away with UK accounts, but not with German ones? Doesn't the HMRC apply the same measures in someway? I mean, could a forged VAT document do the trick with eBay.co.uk?!!!

i cant tell you, i have a list of ebay sellers from China and other dropshippers,
they are back after couple of hourse after the deadline the 28.02.2019

some of them got the VAT fixed even before the deadline,
and dont push me to believe that a chinesse seller has a real German VAT.

Lol, you never know, these ppl make tons of money by dropshipping cause they're the actual suppliers and having a German VAT number, I'm not suprised.

talk about EU requirements,Paypal has t o comply as well,the last I heard if you have a Paypal account and have collected $600? since inception,you need to show them some documents-ID,driver license etc.
so how can a stealth account comply?

they could be German /Chinese retailers and order from CHina,no big deal if they ask their Chinese suppliers to ship direct if they runout of stock
