Default So what happened here?

*** WARNING eBay LINK ***

https://www.m.ebay.co.uk/seller?sid=...online&itemId=

So this guy after nearly 5 years on eBay starts frauding people. My friend bought a camera due to the high feedback he had and no negatives. Then suddenly he receives no camera two weeks later and is told by seller that he paid for cameras by bank transfer but he has not received stock, so tells my friend to open claim on eBay for not received.

His address is office space in UK. I looked at his feedback and he was getting good feedback for cameras sold. So not all of a sudden he decides to list tons of high value goods.

I don't see the listing now so just open a case to PayPal and he will respond to you faster then you think.

It's possible as MM said.

Unfortunately I have also witnessed people being great for a very long time then all of a sudden they shifted 180 for whatever reason.

It's really sad when that happens.

Two possible scenarios here:
1. Account has been hacked - but that's kinda impossible not retrieve the account right away, considering how established the account is.
2. Exit scam - looks like he's running all the funds, that's why he just told your friend to dispute the case, it will leave his paypal (the seller) into negative balance, but he will not care about that.
But don't worry, your friend can still get the funds, just let him/her open a case, and he/she will be refunded. Escalate the case right away, so he/she can get the funds sooner.

Hacked
Restricted
exit scamming

All possible.
but I am thinking
restricted or limited for the sudden flood of items not being delivered.

He probably said screw it and left the account to rot.

Seeing those sales. Just wow
Not really sure if eBay/PayPal will look after him if he run the money.

I have an account with 27,000 feedback that looks just like this.
Ebay limited the account, I could not even refund buyers from ebay.
It was a pain in the ass to find the orders in paypal so I just deleted the email, never logged back into ebay and said screw it.

Yeah but this guys excuse to my friend was he paid the suppliers by bank transfer, so he can’t refund until he gets his money back. In the listing he said the items were in the UK, which I find a bit odd to put in a listing.

He never said anything about Ebay limiting him.

Well PayPal will just go find a few stealth accounts and take their money to recover the costs.

He’s probably taken £50k which is crazy if Paypal managed to let him withdraw all that.

Yeah, that's really possible he could get all those funds. As those funds didn't come all at once within a day or two. Looking to that account, for sure it's really an established account, bet paypal won't question to his sales until those complaints come in.
