unverified phone numbers
 

I bought this account on here. It was 30 days old, high limit. I waited an extra 30 days building a search history and getting everything ready. I listed 2 items, made one 20 dollar sale a few hours later and the account was suspended this morning. I sold plant seeds.

I registered a phone number through Talkatone app (because I have Googlefi phone service and I can't use Google Voice anymore) but when I saved it to the account I wasn't able to receive the verification text so I just skipped that part. I listed the first item 2 days after saving the phone number. Could that have been the problem?

What did the suspension say?, sometimes that can help figure out what caused it.

I've bought 2 other accounts from this person and they have both been really good. I lost a paypal on one of them but that was my fault.

I'm inclined to believe it was something to do with the item, rather than the phone number. Though either could of been the case.

If the phone number was a recycled number, previously associated to a suspended eBay - makes sense to get limited.

I wouldn't ever recommend using services like app / burner numbers.

I don't see how it could be the items. It was lemongrass and white sage seeds listed with variations and someone just happened to buy the 20 dollar variation. I'm pretty sure phone numbers are always recycled.

Phone numbers do always get recycled.

Burner phone apps, more so than others. I'd never use them, ever.

While suspended, you won't be able to use eBay. Registering a new account may hinder any option to appeal your account. If you would like to appeal this action, we need to verify your account information and your eBay activity directly with you.

Best to speak to the account seller. Appeal procedures may vary from UK accounts.

Going forward dont change details so quick, let alone to a burner app number.

It's not an everyday change. The account is now 60 days old and I changed the phone number once 2 days ago. It's been on the same Ip address for 30 days.

Ok, here is the update. it had nothing to do with the phone number. They just wanted to verify my account information. I guess it's been a while since I had to do that. They used to just send you one of those MC letters and ask you to call them. i guess suspension is the new normal.
