Hi guys i faced problem for week when i try to make paypal as automatique payment methode on ebay when i wanna listing an item
here is the message paypal
" Sorry, we weren’t able to set up preapproved payments at this time "
I need help i called both paypal and ebay but nothing

Do you have a confirmed card or bank account on the new PayPal?

You will need a payment method on PayPal either credit card or bank. Where do you think this reapproved payment coming from? When you buy on ebay, paypal takes it out from your bank.

Dude, he wouldn't even get that message if he didn't already have a backup funding method on his PP account.

OP, try linking a card directly to your eBay account as the automatic payment method. This will bypass the PayPal error.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone know how to sort it,

opened a new ebay account, paypal has vcc and bank attached to it so verified. Each time i try to set up automatic payments i get this error too.

I also tried to add a vcc direct to ebay to get past this automatic payment screen but i then get another error saying cannot verify this card, i have tried 2 different vcc cards and none of them get past this error.

Anyone know how to bypass this as its been doing my head in for last 2 days, contacted ebay and they tell me theres no issues on their site

For me I can't because it won't verify since it's just a prepaid cc.

Same exact problem I have no idea how to fix this.

It's usually bad IP or bad vcc or both, quality matters here. Had the same problem myself.

I have had this issue before, it happens from time to time if the account is really new. I've gone back before and it worked another time. So i agree, i suspect it's IP related.
