Check ip via whoer before login

I have been using a Verizon mifi and always log my IP. Today when I log in on whoer.net my IP shows as 2600:1000:book:eeee format not 174.111.1.2 why is it doing this and how to I fix it?

You're pulling an IPv6 instead of IPv4 address. You probably have one of each and it's only showing your IPv6. Type "show my IPv4" into a google search to check/confirm that.

If you don't like it showing IPv6 addresses, disable IPv6 in your connection settings.

Control panel -> Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing center -> Change adapter settings (on the left panel) -> right click your wifi or LAN adapter (whichever you're using) and click properties -> uncheck "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6) -> click "OK" to save settings.

Phaz is right. Disable your IPv6 stack people, this can cause problems with stealth.
