This just seems to be a PAYMENT METHOD for buyers, but on the sellers end the money will come through Managed Payments. |

And that answers the question I was about to ask - why bother with this when theyre rolling out adyen. Guess as long as the payment is intercepted by their new Managed Payments Platform they don't realy care. |

In theory, it's eBay's option to add any 3rd party payment gateways they wish from a buyers POV, but at the end of the day they will all plug directly into eBay's Managed Payments back that will pay sellers. |

eBay has been saying the entire time that this is one of the primary reasons they wanted to make the switch to their own payment platform. So they can start offering more "millennial payment options" like Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, *** Pay, etc, that Paypal will never offer since Paypal competes against those companies. Quote:

as long as the fee is the same,makes no difference to the seller.
But with Paypal I can use my Paypal debit MC card to use as credit card to pay Ebay bills,buy things in store and get 1% cash rebate from Paypal.
Paypal debit card taps my paypal balance backed by bank fund.so what does the other have to offer? |

nothing against Apple pay or Google pay,but if one has a feature the others do not,it is worth pointing out.
For those who prefer not to have their fund deposited into their bank account,then it is worth noting Paypal offers an option.
I am glad Google pay is now available ,at one time it was only interested in serving those who are developing APPs. |

| Outside of eBay, probably a very small percentage use it in their everyday lives.
On eBay though, 0 buyers are using it currently since it's being introduced as an option next month (according to news articles) |

years ago,I want to use Google Pay to accept credit card payments and they told me dont bother,we only serve geeks who are developing APPs .
I believe I still have an account with them |
