ebay account restricted
 

Hello everyone , I 'm a new Comer and i really want to become a seller on ebay & make some extra money during free time ...

Yesterday i registered an ebay account and put on my first listing , Then somehow my ebay account was restricted ... I donn't know why ???

Can anyone point out why the 1st listing can cause account restriction ???

Or i incorrectly filled anything ???

First item must always be low risk. If they approve, you can list more low risk items of that kind.

Once you successfully sell and get 25 feedback from buyers and 90 days have passed. You can start putting up high risk items.

Others will beg to differ, but I think that is the safest route to list high risk.

Low risk ??? What type of Products are more low risk ??? Low priced item ???

Does it matter if i set auction or set buy it now ?

Set as 99p auction for 7 days. Low risk should cost no more than $10-20 in my opinion.

I think Ebay do not like buy it now on new account until you have a track record.

This is all speculation, what works for me may not work for you as there are other factors as well like IP, cookies, what you are browsing etc etc.

Relatively cheap and used items work the best. try to list items $10-$20
Extremely cheap items like less than $1 are waste of time.

To start with it's better to list with buy it now option to avoid the hassle associated with auctions.

Does IP also affect my ebay account ???

AND , How about Paypal account ? IF i 'm from Chinese , Must i have a US Paypal account ???

Ebay does not restrict your account just because you made first listing.
you can be based in China,have a Chinse papal account and list on Ebay USA.
what did you list?
some items are not allowed on Ebay-eg ivory-elephant,mammoth or hippo,bone must be bovine bone,endangered species,no,prescription drug,no,etc tec

What kind of restriction did you get? What did the email say it may just be a simple call to them.

WHERE DID YOU GET THE CARTIER RING?
try something whiich does not have a high value brand name,no Coach Handbag or Coco Chanel jewelry,no Tiffany either

it's the new thing they are doing and it's no big deal. You just have to call eBay and they will ask you a few questions and then lift your suspension. I have had to do this 3 times over the past two weeks. it's no big deal.

a lot of first listings get flagged, especially if youre listing on ebay.com with a foreign account and IP. Call them, they just want to know what youre selling. I would definitely not recommend selling something that expensive, especially if youre overseas, for your first sale. Hope you still have the receipt!!

Look at the email they sent you on your restriction. Does it say anything about calling in to verify your info over the phone? If so then you just need to call them.
