buyers may move to amazon on items that are offered there at a low price due to being available from amazon directly and/or from many sellers at the same time

but there are many items whose sales rely on third party sellers and there amazon tend to cost more than ebay as they limit the competition and this drives up prices , they try to counteract by setting upper limits for a price but I doubt this works
