Can buyer open eBay return after opening a Paypal dispute?
 

Pesky international buyer opened a Paypal item not received case which they have been turned down for as I have provided tracking info showing delivered.

Now they want to return the item because they changed their mind.

Can they open a return?

yes,he can open a case of item not as described under Ebay money back gurantee program within 30 days

Maybe show ebay how they were trying to scam you out of it on PP. Be prepared to receive a different item.

I'm going to tell them to open a return for changed mind and probably turn it down and just take the negative feedback lol

you cannot turn down INAD dispute,you or ebay will send return shipping label,since it is overseas,then you send him money to buy postage .

I'm aware of that. That's why I said I would tell them to open the return as changed mind. Since they originally wanted to cancel the order but I had already shipped item and made no mention of anything being wrong with it/not as described in our correspondence thus far.

you could ask him to refuse the package and it will come back to you but it would take a long long time for overseas package to comeback to you,but it would cost you less

If the buyer opens a PayPal dispute ebay will close the ebay dispute.

If they have not opened a return request yet, it could be that they can not as the return button may not be there in the sales record.

Just wait and see what return request if any is opened.

If they have opened a return request then grant it and tick can not send a shipping label in that country. Usually they go no further and then after 6 weeks the return is closed by eBay.

Oh what a headache... unfortunately everyone is right about this.

Maybe consider not shipping to outside north america? Or perhaps use the new eBay global shipping?

Which isn't even available to subscribers of managed payments. Hope they get that shiit sorted out for sellers before it fully rolls out!

Did they send you a message that they changed their mind through eBay's messenger? If so, and wording is important, you can dispute an INAD by calling and directing them to look at said message. eBay does not cover 'change of heart' expressly in the rules and show them that they are falsely claiming INAD to screw you. I have needed to do this a couple of times. International is a pain in the ass, especially with Eastern Block former Soviets.

Op said they open a paypal item not received case and lost as OP shows tracking.
Then they contact her on EBay,saying they want to return the item.
intl returns is messy,you cant send them a return label and for INAD,Ebay expects you to pay for return .
Unless the seller is dropshipping from AMZN,then he could be in Indonesia and he would just send you an AMZN return label .

some buyers would use a freight forwarder in USA which works in seller favor as the return label would be from US forwarder to seller but the buyer is in a foreign country with the item.so the return label is useless.
Using GSP is not going to help ,it would be returned to the seller not GSP in Erlanger ,Kentucky.
Instead of GSP,Ebay should really work with DHL and let the seller packs and ship via DHL at a favorable rate.DHL is worldwide ,much biGger than UPS or Fed EXP

I thought ebay has a policy that the claim has to be filed with THEM first? And they won't allow a case, if there has already been a Paypal disupte...

This is news to me wtf. I sell thousands of digital items per week and never has a buyer opened any ebay return/case after open a paypal dispute.
However a buyer can open a paypal claim at the same time as the ebay case/return.

Plot twist:

After replying to the buyer telling them how to open a return and how to file it (changed mind) they replied and told me they have already shipped it back. Normally it wouldn't be that big of a deal as I would just be out the postage cost but I'm sure they shipped it back to the address on the label I mailed- not my actual address.

So what happens when a buyer just sends something back and its to the wrong address (even though thats what the return address was on the package)

Probably going to get negative feedback on this order but there's times that it's worth it to make a point. This buyer has made 3 orders on 3 of my accounts and wants to cancel them after I have shipped the order. This is the only time they've done a return and I've already added them to the block list on my accounts. Also like my chances on getting the negative removed since they didn't adhere to eBay policy on returns. Basically just tired of dealing with this idiot.

Also, just to be clear... the return address on the package is not the address that's on file with eBay and is not my address. It's a company that doesn't accept inbound mail so it should get returned to sender.
