How to limit one buyer to on transaction...

Is there a way to only allow one ebay id to purchase only 1 quantity at a time? Thanks

I currently have mine set this way.

Account settings, site preferences.

1 buyer per 10 days ...

I've set that up as well. Best way to build feedback quickly if you are making a loss on your sales during your 3 months new account probation.

Some sneaky buyers love taking advantage of a bargain and will buy up all of your stock. And that only means 1 unique feedback.

I don't sell cheap shiit anymore. More of a risk. And no one needs FIFTEEN of what I sell! haha

Especially when I see shiit like this on a high-dollar item. Makes me nervous!

That's just wayyyyy too many new accounts for me!

One case I could understand is a dropshipper limiting order sizes so they know they can't sell more of an item than their fulfiller has in stock. Other than that case it's senseless to me. Larger orders are the most profitable kind. Worst case scenario the buyer doesn't like the order and requests a return.. so the only extra expenses are return postage if you've got it setup so you have to pay it instead of the buyer.
You just don't understand, and that's okay.

Let's take your "worst case" scenario and say that a customer ordered 12 of my products for $329 and then says phuck it... I didn't really want these, and opens a return. After May 7th, that's fees on $3948 that I am responsible for. $115... yeah, phuck that!

And since your worst case scenario is paying return shipping, I won't even get into the people who like free shiit. :)

Unless they intend to resell those 15 items, obviously. Why would a business refuse to sell to other businesses?
Businesses don't buy from me

Oh, and JUST YESTERDAY, a dumbass biitch accidentally purchased a $500 item and instantly wanted it cancelled.

Her mistake would have cost $15 after May 7th.

But, james is right it's in the standard "buyer requirements" page.

I had this turned on and they were still able to buy multiple?

Maybe i need to check this? Apply above settings to active and future listings.

There could be a million reasons as to why you don't want the same person buying all of your stock.

In my situation it is simply to do with feedback. I want unique buyers for the first three months then I don't mind having repeat customers, as a matter of fact I welcome it. Just not now. I want an account with a lot of feedback.

But that hasn't happened yet. Maybe once (if) that update goes into effect (claim it sure as hell hasn't gone into effect like they said it would) I'll modify my policy. What has been your reasoning for the years that you've been doing this without any knowledge of the 5/7/19 PP update?

Ok, you want lots of feedback on new accounts. I can understand that but I still wouldn't pass up the extra profit of shipping multiple items in the same box. I guess it's just my personal preference.

Can you name a few of the other million reasons? I'm always called out on hyperbole.. so I have to ask.

You clearly didn't read my entire other post.

I did. I've read all of your posts and the only reasoning I saw was the losses you may incur in the future with that PP update.

You said "And since your worst case scenario is paying return shipping, I won't even get into the people who like free shiit." but I have no idea what you mean by that. Why would my customer be getting free stuff if I'm paying for their return? Are you implying there are customers who will buy from me just to make me pay for return shipping once they get the item?

Don't be mean with your responses.. just a gentle explanation is what I was after.

I'm not lol... was just stating that fact.

SCAMMERS!!!! That's the answer you're looking for. :)

Yes, I refuse to take the chance of letting 1 single customer buy several thousand dollars worth of my product and then do a chargeback, or return me a bunch of random worthless shiit.

No, I've never lost a chargeback case. Nor have I ever lost a "customer sent back the wrong shiit" case. But it does happen. And it WON'T EVER happen to me from a person who bought 10s of my items for 1000s of dollars.

It'll be ONE item. Maybe two, if I begin feeling generous down the road some point!
