What happens when you're suspended?
 

What happens when an eBay account is suspended for 7 or 30 days? Does eBay remove all active listings and asks you to relist after the temporary suspension is over? Or do they keep everything active, but limit your ability to list new / end active listings?

It seems to be random. Sometimes listings stay up and you keep selling. Other times, everything gets removed.

In either case, you can't list new items.

It's true that some of your listings will stay and keeps on selling.
But you definitely cannot list new things.

I'm guessing the next question people will tend to ask is :

"after 7 or 30 days , if I want a few weeks or a month, can I relist that product that got me Veroed?"

You guys may wanna just answer the above right now. =)

Relisting the same item after this occurs is just asking for problems.

There is no real "safe" time period you can re-list that item without risk. You can bet the account is already being watched extra closely now after the first strike.

The next hit might very well be an indefinite suspension since you have already been warned.

I was banned for 7 days and all my listings were active.
I made the mistake of being very homophobic to a fag sounding agent apparently.

The last few times I've been "suspended" for 7 days, literally nothing happened except for 1 listing being removed each time.

I say "nothing happened" because even though eBay sent me an email saying I can't create or revise any listings for 7 days, I was able to do both of those things for the entire 7 days, both times.

Found this out accidentally when I went to edit to quantity on a listing. The first time, I forgot the account had been suspended earlier in the week. So I edited the listing as usual and the revision went through as usual.

Here is some advice to keep selling, I get 7 and 30 days quite a few times a year on my 5 accounts.

1. Most of the time they leave up any non-offending listings.
2. If they leave them up, IMMEDIATELY go in and revise quantity to like 15-20.
3. It says you cannot do that but you can.
4. If you have an item not really selling, revise it to a good seller that is not Vero, I do it all the time.
5. If you get an email from a repeat customer just tell them the situation and that you can list generic listing for them to buy, then revise an existing and change price, easy peasy. Then after they buy it revise it again back to original.
6. I am presently on a 30 day and have sold $1100 worth of stuff on my still active 12 listings.

you get the 7 and 30 days a couple times a year PER account?
In what frequency? Every month? 3 months?

Then you relisted the offending listing again after a month?

I'm curious now
