Box dimensions drastically increases shipping fees
I sell bulky lightweight items. When shipping outside zones 1-4, usps becomes expensive. Ups and fedex even worse. Some dimensions are 20x15x15, 28x19x16 and boxes weigh between 9-19lbs. I shipped with ups and fedex and did not put in correct dimensions or completely left it out because i had no idea this was important and i was hit with adjustments. After these adjustments, i lost practically on all sales from zone4-8.
Anyone been in this situation and what was your solution? Fedex has been horrible with replying about discounts. My negotiated rates on ups are ok, but these dimensions are still killing me and a lot of my sales come from zone 8 (west coast).
Will 3PL be the solution here? Or any other options? |
