Listing Vero Items
 

Hello, I am selling Vero items and from some time now I am getting my listings taken down but not from the rights owner but from a report. Probably a competitor. My question is how to list items without getting in trouble for Vero. Is it enough to blur the brand title on the labels and in some cases blur the logos of the brands on the items? In some cases when I blur the logos and labels you can still recognize the brand but the image is not clear at all. Will this be ok? Please advise.

The first thing you need to determine is the exact reason your listings are being removed.

A real "VeRO" take down is very specific, and will always identify the name of the agent or Rights Owner.

Any other take down notice is usually initiated with eBay, and it's typically a policy violation, or a report from a third party, or eBay user.

Don't confuse policy take downs with a VeRO removal. They are two different things.

Ok, but what do you think about listing items with blurred labels and logos and without using brands name? Will it be ok this way?

First of all are you selling used or new, authentic or not?

No - you could still be smoked out with your listing and use of keyterms

Any potential confidence your buyers would have had buying from that listing would also go out the window once parts of the photo are intentionally blurred out.

Just what Phaz said above. I would never buy from your listings if you block out anything in the pictures, even if I have to buy it from someone else at a higher cost.

I just don't see your plan working out too well.

The best option is to go to anchor store 10k and they will give you 48 hours to take it down by yourself

if OP has 10k to burn,she would be selling authentic items Or not bother to sell at all.

your competitor cannot take down your listings.
It could be an employee of that brand company who reported you

No matter what you’re going to keep going round in circles. I would move away from selling VERO items

What is this Anchor Store that you mentioned? Well in the mail when my listings were taken down it wasn’t mentioned that the rights owner filed a complain. It only said that there was a report for copyrights from someone, but not the owner. And most of my competitors listings weren’t taken down at all. So I am curious what is going on.

sounds to me like could the images could be your problem or description look at your competitors and see how close your listing description is

there is something not clear with VERO and copyright, is like a puzzle, eBay fundament business is brands, is very unprofessional. From my experience what i have understood:

1) No chance to sell replica or wrong pictures/description. you will get complain report from right owner (you will receive right owner email to contact them after report) and listing go down and your account would be suspended (7-30 days and finally undefinite if repeated)

2) if once you sell one replica item as mistake (despite you sell always authentic, can happen) and you are reported, if you list the same brand again even is 100 % authentic your listing go down because you are already reported with this brand ( it is automatically).

3) there is trust and safety department ( or eBay team 'specialised' in top brands) in ebay and they are NOT expert they check always the top brands (e.g every louis vuitton item has to be checked before releasing even your account is old and has million positive feedback)
