| Yes, unfortunately so. We ship roughly the same volume (maybe 50-75 less) and I've spent hours (maybe days, altogether) researching the various options.
Parcel Select Lightweight was the only class I could find for shipments weighing less than a pound that would be slightly cheaper than First Class. But it's nearly impossible to get access to that mail class. The last time I checked, it required a contract with a commitment to ship a certain annual volume. And even then, you have to sort all of your outgoing mail properly and drop them off at a certain USPS sorting facility. You can't just drop them off at your post office like you'd do with any other class.
The partnerships through fedex/UPS/DHL are no comparison in terms of price, unless like I said your average shipment is 2-5lbs.
And yeah, sorry for derailing the thread. Once the question is answered it gets boring. :pop2: |
