Register with Mobile phone?
 

could someone tell me what if i register ebay using a contract mobile phone number, have completed registration using 1 and all went smoothly.received code and all seems ok.
Though it would refuse it immediately, will they just contact me in future.

I thought I read somewhere else on this site that mobiles wouldn't work.
Maybe they meant disposables.
Otherwise what a great idea and it is mine, so nobody steal it :p
Buy a Tracphone for $20 with 30 minutes already on it, use it to register at ebay, PP, Amazon whatever.
Turn around and sell it with 29 minutes left.

Only a good idea provided the numbers aren't flagged, but considering free VOIP numbers seem to work why wouldn't a pay as you go cell

I just had to do a phone verification as part of the PP limitation resolution process. That phone that was registered was disconnceted months before the account was created, but can you believe they let me change the reg'd #?
If you ever have to call them and they verify via caller ID, just get a spoof card, Google it.

I know, just wanted to point out the irony of making you verify something and then letting you change it. Wouldn't it be great if EB and PP let us amend ALL of our info like that?
I could have used a pay phone at a WiFi hotspot.
