First automatic view of an item. How important is that?

I am noticing that if a newly listed item doesn't get that very first view (which I suppose is done by eBay itself), it will usually get very little exposure compared to other listings.

What do you think about this? Is the first view really that important?

I noticed recently new listings all got +8 views immediately after listing..

Manual reviews must count as +views now. Maybe they mark listings based on a grading system which determines their initial placement? :noidea:

Yea just speculation.. Blasting the listing with a high promotion or low price gets views.. not always sales.

I just listed some things and my count is at 1. 10 min later at 2
