problem of SSN

Just curious, what do you guys do for PayPal constantly bugging you for SSN. I see a lot of non-US sellers here who obviously don't have an SSN. What's the deal here?
US Sellers - just want to get a few more opinions, is everybody around here getting a 1099? If not, then what's your playbook? New to this, so any help is appreciated.

It's a new thing. So far everyone is just transferring funds into their checking account.

plenty of US sellers get 1099k if they have 200 transactions AND $20k (sales).
one copy goes to the seller and one copy goes to IRS,thats why they want your SSN

I'm just transferring the funds as well, none of mine get close to the threshold.
