What are the downsides to not having a PayPal on your stealth eBay, and just allowing eBay to process your payments other then the obvious potential for loss of sales due to lack of payment options?

Paypal you can get your funds much faster. I transfer to my debit card and get it in minutes! Ebays bank transfer can take 3-4 business day.

You can remove your PayPal from eBay completely, and have eBay process your payments. Don't just comment if you don't even know this basic information. Your payments are not processed by PayPal, but a 3rd party, you can google it if you want specifics. The only time paypal processes is if you elect them to.

If you don’t know your own basics nor have the decency to be polite, don’t be here.
I suggest you tread carefully. You have 1 chance with me.

There is a seller in my category on eBay.de who only accepts bank transfers. The guy is selling a lot with no problem at all, he is even saving a ton on PayPal fees.
I think if a buyer has enough interest in your item, they will buy it even if you don't offer PayPal. Nobody would prefer to buy a specific item just because paying it is a bit easier.

In some countries it's common to pay using bank transfers. On the USA eBay site tho, how can you even list something without using PayPal as an option? I once tried that and got errors when creating my listing saying "you must select PayPal as a payment option" or similar.

Not at all! You can ask customers to pay via wire transfers and Germans actually have no problem at all doing that |

To answer your question OP, nobody does it because they didn’t ****ing know. And the people that do know, realize that the drop off in sales and delay in payment isn’t really worth it. But since nobody on this forum is educated on the topic I doubt you’ll get a response to the stealth aspect or funds holding... etc.

So you guys are telling me on eBay UK for example if I refuse to accept Paypal my customers can still pay me ? into what account exactly ? I don't have an e-wallet with ebay that I know of.
When I buy via a stealth ebay account, I know I can pay using my credit card without going to paypal, but I thought the sellers PAYPAL still processes that payment. Ebay just collects my credit card details.
I think Ayden (ebays payment processor that you may be referring too) has only been rolled out in the USA atm.

Just go edit one of your listings, and remove the option for PayPal. “Add offline payment methods”, if boxes comes up for Amex, mc, visa, and it lets you save your listing... then you know it works.

Good luck in finding a solution, dont bother reporting back when you find it. | Lmao, just because your ****hole country doesn’t have the same payment options as mine (it probably does you’re just too dumb to figure it out) doesn’t make me a troll.

Still not convinced you even did it right.

Oh hey look it took 2 seconds of googling to figure out you’re a dumb **** who can’t edit their listings properly: https://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/How-to-se...1394632/g.html |
