Stealth, fine line, issues

I've been running stealth for a while now and I forgot passwords to all my accounts as well as to the email accounts, as everything is auto-saved on my laptop. I am worried that if anything happens to my laptop or the laptop's hardrive, then I be totally screwed, as I'd have no way of getting back into the game.

I am wondering if anyone knows what can I do. I've seen a special SSD to HD copy software, where the system copies everything on your laptop to another hard drive but I am not sure if it can help me.

My laptop is a mid-2012 MacBook Air.

Any input is appreciated,

Thanks.

Did you do back ups at all?

I have used an external HD for straight up copying of everything - no special software needed

It's better to use cloning software. If you just copy everything in your GUI your backup won't be bootable. If you use software to clone your backup would be bootable so you'd just need to swap out hard drives.

I've always used Paragon hard disk manager. Here's the mac version: https://www.paragon-software.com/hdm-mac/#

Have been dabbling - I still prefer the Windows non-Mac PC platform

Did you not have a backup email to all of your emails for recovery. If so just hit forgot password on emails and recover. If not you need to seriously look at your methods.

Thanks, phaz. The software will copy all users, correct?

Thanks for all the replies.

I do not have any back-ups at all.

Another factor which I forgot to mention, is that I have 12 separate user profiles on my Mac. The cloning software will copy all of them?

Yes. It makes a 1:1 copy of your current hard drive.

If you have USB3 ports you can get a SATA to USB adapter off eBay for like $5, which makes cloning very easy. USB2 versions are also available.. just a little slower.

Thanks, phaz.

So I'll need the cloning software plus the sata cable (from usb to new HD). Correct?

Re: Stealth, fine line, issues

On a macbook, yeah, most likely. If it were a desktop where you had a spare SATA connector inside then you wouldn't need the adapter.

Here's some other options: https://blogs.systweak.com/5-best-di...r-mac-in-2017/

IDK what the price range is because I've never had to clone a mac.. and I torrented paragon.

I like to backup my mac with time machine on a seagate 4tb hard drive then every account i create i save the info on a sandisk flash drive in a secure vault that is encrypted super important to always stay ahead if not it does get confusing and like you know anything can happen overnight to your computer good luck buddy.

Yep, mine are on a spreadsheet. I have one copy in a bank vault and the other in a gun safe.

My brother is the cloning expert which works really well for me.

I back up weekly too.
