| | | GalactikFighter | 06-07-2019 03:46 PM | They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp So usually buyers return an item and I send them my return address.
But this time a person did a refund process, and eBay messaged me that they automatically have started the refund process and they have sent the address of the 'ebay account'..
So what happens now?? If the item is returned to the stealth address?!?!?:pout::deadhorse: |
| james_112233 | 06-07-2019 04:00 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp Just email them and tell them to send it to your real address. |

| agent006140 | 06-07-2019 04:10 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp buyer may not want to,as OP may not refund him,and Ebay MBG requires him to return to the address on record.with tracking .
I dont know if this will work,
USPS offers an intercept service, pay a fee and ask the local post office to hold for further instruction or reroute ?
dunno if you can do that since you are neither the buyer or the seller, and if you can do so,what address would it be rerouted to.
go to USPS and try |

I'm going to take a punt and say it will be returned by Royal Mail and contacting USPS will be futile. :juggle: | sorry,I miss the flag is UK,this USPS service would not work.
UNless Royal Mail has a similar service?
hindsight is 20/20,why didnt the OP open a mail box with the post office or any mail station? |
| SaiJin | 06-07-2019 06:40 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp It’s a little tough if he a;ready mailed it to the eBay address.
Can U.K. mail redirect that mail to your locAtion? |
| ponyx | 06-07-2019 07:20 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp Once eBay sees a delivery attempt, they'll allow the refund to go through. Even if it shows "invalid address" or "refused", eBay places that liability on the seller.
If buyer has already sent it, your best recourse might be to tell them you moved. Once it shows a delivery attempt, issue the refund so eBay doesn't ding your account. Hope it gets returned to the buyer, then if it's worth it, give the buyer a prepaid label to ship to where you really want it to go.
If you're trying to be stealth with eBay, be cautious about sending an address linkable to another account through eBay messaging. A rep could dig into it. |
| GalactikFighter | 06-08-2019 06:04 AM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp Thanks for the information.
I contacted royal mail, they said the buyer has to contact their local post office and request the parcel to be redirected- I messaged my buyer and I requested them to go to the post office and get the address changed.
Or contact the stealth address and tell them they will receive an item but it was sent to their address accidentally, I don't know how this is achievable?
Thanks! |
| agent006140 | 06-08-2019 09:37 AM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp human nature is such, the person at your stealth address sees a package coming addressed not to him,he would either refuse and it goes back to the sender or just keep it,it sounds like it is something of value.
if he refuses the package it will go back to the sender,by then the sender has his money back and a free item. |

In cases like this I'd keep my head down, hope that nothing comes of it and write off the loss as a stealth occupational hazard. Don't get greedy. | My main concern is the occupant of the stealth address, I am hoping they don't become an issue. Getting the item back is not my concern, I usually give a full refund and most of the time I tell the buyers to keep the item, it's not worth the hassle of returning it. Thanks:thumb: |

| Pandoras_box | 06-09-2019 02:20 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp It seems that ship has sailed already. You should consider writing it off as a loss.
You may also consider setting your eBay account to "buyer pays" for returns.
Inexperienced buyers may not know how to open specific kind of cases that will force eBay's return label on you.
In such cases, you can appear to be the good guy by offering to save them the return postage by sending your own pre-paid return label. :thumb: |
| agent006140 | 06-09-2019 02:24 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp all he has to do is to rent a PO BOX or mail box, |
| agent006140 | 06-09-2019 04:43 PM | Re: They sent it to the stealth addres?!?helppp if OP is willing to spend time asking on this forum,it probably is not an 99 cents item,so get a PO box, mail box or your landlord 's address or mom or grandpa,or girlfriend'
stupid suggestion ?
if you are smart, you wont have to get a stealth account, smart people dont get suspended.asshole !!!!!!!!!! |

He's already said they dont want the goods back, they merely want to keep themselves out of trouble.
How much does is costs for a UK PO box? You dont know do you? If you did you wouldnt make such a stupid suggestion. | what trouble can OP get into when the resident of the stealth address get a package which is not addressed t o them, they can marked return to sender, they can open it and trash the item or keep it or sell it ,UNLESS it is something you know ,can get him into trouble,?
yeah, something which glows in the dark !!!!!!! |
