eBay scrubbing Reebok_official negative feedback
 

What do you guys think of that?

They are getting thousands of negative feedbacks removed on hourly basis.
Yet I can't even get 1 removed where it was customers mistake and he left me negative without contacting me.

Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others???

I'm sure Reebok is paying huge $ in fees to eBay, and they have dedicated reps for those account that have the power to do things like remove feedback. They can do things they would never do for the smaller stores or sellers.

Sound unfair? This is how Congress works. The one who has the most money always gets what they want. The world is unfair, get used to it.

Not the point mate. They got 10000-20000 feedback removed yesterday alone.
Their store is shut on ebay. People not getting their money back and no products. They are leaving genuine reviews, but they are getting removed in bunches.

If the reviews are all genuine this is truly unfair on all the sellers on the platform.

I have never had a problem getting ebay to remove a negative left that was untrue. But genuine feedbacks are never removed.

The point you have made alone should be all over social media to be honest.

I'm not surprised. I'm bringing awareness. If we all keep quiet and look the other way every time we get shafted. This will continue. Talking about it is good. This doesn't affect me on a personal level in any way. So I'm not looking for life lessons.

Lots of sites scrub and manipulate reviews: Yelp, Tripadvisor, Agoda, Priceline, etc. I've also had reviews (especially negative ones) removed.

Seems you can't trust the reviews anymore. Most of these sites are scared of any legal action that may result, particularly Libel, which is a written or published defamatory statement (i.e. Feedback) made by a 3rd party.

I think the sites are also aware of the impact negative feedback has on potential future customers. They don't want to run buyers off of their platform by having tons of negative feedback show (especially for a major brand like Reebok when the flood of negs were caused by an API error [allegedly]). So they "discreetly" clean up, constantly. I've never thought about it from a legal POV but that makes some sense too.

Been watching it happen for years and have also been the beneficiary of feedback cleanups a few times.
