 eBay managed payments (switch to LLC to avoid sending in real name / SSN)
Recently one of my stealth account accidentally enrolled to eBay managed payments (run by Adyen), they are asking me to send identifications in color and both sides and SSN.
Have any of you tried to switch personal stealth account to an LLC to avoid being asked for IDs? If so which one can avoid being asked for personal IDs? Single-member LLC or Corporation/Multi-member LLC ?
Here is the message received in eBay personal stealth account:
Thank you for being a part of Managed Payments. We are excited to have you in the program.
I am reaching out to you again because we need additional information to complete our verification process and resume sending you your payouts. We need you to update your personal identification information to include your full legal name.
We also need you to provide a photo ID.
To update your personal information:
1. Go to your Seller Hub and select the Payments tab.
2. In your Payments tab, find the red banner at the top of the page and click on the "Update primary business info now".
3. Once you are directed to the new screen you will need to provide your:
·Legal first name is last name
·Physical address (P.O. Boxes are not accepted)
·Date of Birth
·Social Security Number (SSN) or International Tax Identification Number (ITIN)
If the information have provided is accurate, and you need to provide a personal identification document, please ensure the document you provide:
Includes your:
• Full legal name and identity number
• Date of birth
• Registered address
Additionally, the document you provide needs to:
• Be current (not expired)
• Be in color
• Be clearly visible and high quality
• Contain the complete MRZ code ( if providing a passport or passport ID card)
• Issued by the United States or a State within the United States.
Finally you must provide us with both the front and back of the document, if you send us a driver's license.
Please provide this information at your earliest convenience, so we can finish the verification process and resume processing your payout.
