USPS shipping on weekends
 

I know Sunday is not really a shipping day for USPS, but do the transit trucks run on the weekends just like during the week? Meaning if something was shipped Fri, would monday be 1 day or 3 days technically?

trucks will run, local branch/last mile will not.

take a look at tracking history,your package should be moving thru the weekend

If the package were shipped on Friday it would move all weekend, so Monday would make day 3 of transit. USPS works on Sundays in most (if not all) areas now thanks to Amazon. Post offices don't open but they usually have at least one carrier out delivering packages. At first they only delivered Amazon shipments on Sundays but now everybody has the option to add "Sunday delivery" to USPS Priority Express shipments for a couple $'s extra. I found the option in my stamps.com account a few months ago.

From eBay's point of view in your seller dashboard, tinsoldier is correct. eBay expects orders received on Friday to go out on Monday if you have a 1 day handling time.

It feels like you're asking this as a buyer so my first paragraph is probably more applicable. But if you're asking this as the seller, see paragraph #2. :)

Monday would be day 1. As a seller weekends don;t count. eBay expects you to ship mon-fri.

update. All 4 of the packages that shipped Fri were delivered by monday! whew!
