| iLias | 08-02-2019 06:28 PM | Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? been suspended for over two years, should I look for the info and give it a shot? |
solefoodbk | 08-02-2019 06:44 PM | Re: Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? It obviously depends on what you were suspended for... |
james13v | 08-02-2019 07:06 PM | Re: Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? Like sole said, we can't answer this question. Only you can. For all we know, you got suspended for selling pedophilia snuff films, that were stolen from police lockup. |

chibul | 09-21-2019 07:50 AM | Re: Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? I could be wrong but eBay right now is so desperate for business as they've been getting hammered by Amazon and etsy and other site are eating away at their marketshare that it wouldn't shock me that if you created a new account, and kept a low profile, started small and gradually built it up and established a great track record that they might let it slide but that depends on your track record.
I got suspended during the John Donahoe era when they were suspending accounts like crazy. There was a period where they were just going nuts over 1's and 2's on DSR's and they just seemed to be passing out tons of suspensions. Now they don't even factor in 1's and 2's when they evaluate you. John Donahoe was trying to turn eBay into Amazon 2.0 and I think that sped up their decline just as much as the rise of Amazon.
A few years after my suspension I needed to make some money so I started using my wifes account but the same paypal account that I used when I got suspended. They linked the accounts and lowered the selling limits from $10,000 a month to $250 a month. I've since been able to maintain a 100% feedback rating and been a top rated seller for the past few years and I've gotten them to raise my selling limits to $50,000 a month.
Maybe I'm the exception. I don't have the balls to register a new account in my name though. |

No,Ebay is not desperate for more sellers,it has too many sellers peddling common junks, lousy pictures, poor description.
prices keep getting lower and lower ,no one makes any decent money,it is called RACE TO THE BOTTOM,all seasoned sellers know that and nothing they can do. |

and ugh.. Yeh. Prices do keep getting lower and lower. It's a shame. I'm tired of having to lower my prices constantly to keep moving forward. |
agent006140 | 09-22-2019 07:10 AM | Re: Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? not just Chinese sellers, but US sellers peddling Chinese junks and cry foul !
Sellers with better merchandise have moved on to other sites like Real real,Etsy,Igavel,Aspire and more. |

agent006140 | 09-22-2019 08:02 AM | Re: Can I reinstate OLD suspended ebay account? if he is doing fine with his wife's account ,why risk setting up a new account for himself?
He is lucky they did not suspend his wife account as it is linked by his Paypal account to his old Ebay account,I WOULD NOT RISK LOSING IT.
Why cant he use his wife 's Paypal account?does she have one? |
