mediainspiron | 08-13-2019 10:18 AM | beginner's luck I've recently paid $105 bucks for a stealth account from a guy at my local bowling alley. What will be my selling limits starting off?
thanks in advance |
nickopedia | 08-13-2019 10:23 AM | Re: beginner's luck Do you actually know this guy at the bowling alley you got the account from?
Did this eBay come with the PayPal? Has it sold anything before? Does it have prior SELLER feedback? Age? Is it in someone's real name, or using phony details?
This account might not even have starting limits yet unless it already sold something. Did you check your seller dashboard? |

It's his account he said I could use it but I needed to add my address for returns. no sales yet. He had this account for 4 months and never sold on it. As long as I give him some of the profits he is fine with me using it |
nickopedia | 08-13-2019 10:38 AM | Re: beginner's luck Well, if the account has yet to sell anything in the past then it's unlikely to have limits.
eBay accounts need to have a "seller account" created before you are given actual limits. This part needs to be done very carefully to avoid having the account suspended when you list your very first item.
I suggest you spend from time breaking in the account by browsing, adding items to your watch list, and even bidding/buying some small things first.
Once that's done for a week or two, you should be ready to list your first item. Sell something low risk, like a cheap book or toy. Use real pictures.
Does this eBay come with a PayPal? If not, you are going to need one for payments. Have you given any thought about that? |

This is a cool story! | That's what I thought.
I find it kinda odd the guy from the bowling alley would want a cut of the action from the account tho.
Something seems a tad off here.
OP: Why not just buy an account from an established source such as on this forum? Those sellers are well vetted and know what they are doing, and can help you with any issues. Also, they won't demand a cut of your sales. :thumb: |

nickopedia | 08-13-2019 12:10 PM | Re: beginner's luck My only concern is that since this account doesn't have ANY past sales history, it's just as fresh as a new account.
I would take things very easy for the first couple weeks before you even think of trying to list your first items. |

I've been there, done that, and regret it. |

At the end of the day, why would you do this to yourself?
I can understand if you're new and you have dreams, but this is very very risky.
My recommendation is to list NOT a book, rather something simple from aroundd the house something super generic and see what happens with the limit.
But if I were you, I'd try to get my money back.
You can actually use the stealth guide to make your own account, this way you have ultimate control and you have noone to worry about. |

I've already told my friends coworker that I won't be using his account. so I won't owe him the $100 since I've backed out the deal. I will start my new account this weekend. thanks SaiJin |

thanks in advance | I'm not sure you understand the meaning of stealth. This is a real account you're talking about. That someone else owns. And at any point, he can call in and get it shut down. Easily. He has all the real info. |
