Calling eBay with Google Voice #
 

Hi Everyone,

I've researched quite a bit on this topic but can't seem to find anything definitive for my particular situation so wanted to get some opinions/advice.

I have a stealth eBay account that I've been slowly growing for the last 8-10 months which has decent selling limits. I'm debating calling in to eBay to discuss increasing the seller limits as I've done this in the past without issues.

However, this eBay account has a Google Voice # attached and I've gathered from posts that some people are having issues with eBay/Google Voice. The account has been active for a couple years now, but I haven't had to call in yet so this would be the first time.

If anyone has any recent experience or advice to share on calling eBay with a Google Voice # on a decently aged account please let me know. I'd be curious to hear if anyone has recently called in for a similar issue on a Google Voice number.

GV is only an issue when it's the only number you provide on a new account. This goes pretty much for all VoIP apps (such as Textnow) or GV.

eBay will typically suspend the account as soon as you list your first item. This is why you need to start with a REAL phone number (mobile or landline) first.

GV is perfectly OK as long as you add it onto the account later on.

I use skype and Hangouts Dialer always when calling to eBay/PayPal.
I haven't been asked why i'm not calling using the phone number listed in the accounts.
No issues so far.
