Use Terapeak. It's evil to steal other people's hard work but if eBay is happy to sell you that information... Then it's all yours.

You can scrap in a day, information that will otherwise take months to research.

No one is going to tell you what to sell. You are going to have to do your own research. Look at top-selling items both on and off eBay and then reverse engineer through the sellers, their listings and suppliers of the items. Tools like Terapeak and watchcount.com are useful. If you are familiar with an industry, work your way through those products. Otherwise, think about types of customers and products that are bought over and over again. Avoid electronics and big named brands when you are new.

silver prices are moving,see if there are sterling silver ware,not wear which could be polished ,coffee pot,teapots,servers,napkin rings,cardholer,cigarete case,salt and pepper shakers.
skip the silver jewelry,not enough silver and there are plenty out there.

collectibles,esp cheap common collectibles are no longer sought after by collectors,they look for items made of material which they can scrap,large gold filled pieces have enough gold,they will take it to a scrap dealer.
12k goldfilled piece of jewelry will have 1/12 of 12k solid gold ,so if the 12k solid gold piece is $100,yours would be 1/12 of $100=$8.33.
