Consignment store or AWS FBA ?
 

Hi i only have a few high ticket items I have sitting in my garage and this is not a business for me , i just want to clean out those items before i move. This is the item list:

a few bikes that cost about 1-2k each , laptops costing 1k each, apple products
and old cell phones.....i estimate that they all add up to about 12-14k .

However, it\s not worth it for me to start a ghost account and wait 5-6 months and be unsure to even sell something more than 1k.

My question is... does it make more sense to send this off to an ebay consignment store and have them take care of it, and if so does anyone know someone who can do this.

My other question , is that does it make more sense just to send these items, most of which have their own boxes and upc codes to amazon fba and let them handle it albiet the 15 % tax percentage that they take off the item price ?


What is the best strategy to unload these items?

you dont have enough to justify using AMZN FBA,it will charge you fee every month for storage until items are sold,if unsold and you want it back,you pay return shipping,if you want them destroyed,you pay disposal fee.
ask some local dealers if they would buy from you or sell for you for a fee,there must be some out here,sounds like they are easy to sell or even your neighbor or office colleague.
not sure about your bikes though,but others are easy to sell
you can also run an ad on Craigslist looking for local buyers who would come to your house and buy or host a garage sale
