Error when trying to list
 

Yesterday tried to list a first item on a new account. My eb and pp are linked. Seller account is set. When tried to submit listing got this error:

"PayPal email - The email address you entered isn't linked to a PayPal account. If you don't have a PayPal account, you'll need to set one up with this email address so that buyers can pay you."

My eb and pp is on a same email. Google says it is because of typo. But it can not be because i copy/past email and pass and it is perfect fine to log in with it to pp and to eb.
Tried this morning on another new account - same story..
Accounts registered on ".com" domain

Anyone experiencing this and is there a way arround??

Deselect the "Require immediate payment when buyer uses Buy It Now" option. That may sort it. It's a site wide problem and ebay are aware of the issue. Only time will tell how long it will take to resolve.

Ogh, thats worked just fine and could list.
However my other two older accounts with some feetback still works with immediate payment requarement. Looks like goes only for a new accounts or what?

It does only affect accounts made after a certain date for some reason.

Happened to me, then my account was suspended. Guess the item was too "high risk", literally listed for $40, and it was only one unit...but meh.

For my eBay.de account its not working!

Cant add PayPal as payment.

Inaccurate. More posters are telling the forum of theiR very same issues.

Interesting to hear about this issues. Seems a number of people have been getting their accounts suspended almost immediately after listing their first time.

Any idea if this issue has been resolved as of late? Q1 2020

No, I'm in the process of creating my account and am researching, and understanding how people resolve issues before they arise.

Also, it DOES seem a number of people are being suspended after creating their first listing, then again 24 hours later.
Since this issue has been going on since late September last year.


Now, let's keep on topic. HAS this issue been resolved, or does anyone have any suspicions on what it might be triggering eBay?

I'm still using the exact same basics from the stealth guide from 10 years ago.

Made 2 accounts a few days ago and listed 1 item each. No suspension.
There could be unknown factors when a person makes his / her account that they might not be aware.

IE: Bad VPN / Proxy , forgot to use new user accounts, reused an info by mistake, you never know.

For sure! I guess we can't control everything. There is the factor of "chance" when creating these.

Curious, what method has been working consistently for you as of recent?
(New Router, Dongle, VPN)

Also, if I switch over to a business account from a personal, would I ever be subject to the personal identity verification issue?

I've been using the same router for years.
And IPburger VPN for a few years. Never used a dongle, since I have no need for it
and IPburger would mask my IP wherever I go on a public WiFi

If you make a mistake or go beyond the yearly $ limit they'll ask for docs regardless of a biz or personal acc.

So I work on high volume and low margins.

How would we get around this issue?
(Purchase an account?)
