Instant Payments and now Pending Holds
 

All my ebay payments previously were instant payments and I could withdraw right away. However, I stopped selling for maybe a week,and now the payments are pending until tracking is received.

Is this random or a warning I am doing something wrong?

Those new holds will be removed much faster than they were the first time - assuming you do things properly as you always have.

So the holds are completely random and it's not caused by anything I am doing?

selling outside your price range,being away for too long,it could also be your buyer
there are 2 kinds of hold-ebay and Paypal

I am on managed payments now but prior I started seeing holds like you are receiving.
Nothing changed on my account or type of sales. It would come and go and then I got the tax request info and all payments were held until delivery. I received the managed payment invite and started that for payments. Been going smooth thus far

No, it's normal, they come and go.
You'll be fine.

Once I changed my banking info and it took 2 weeks after they started playing holds on my withdraws .

Just add tracking, you'll need to do it regardless
