Possible that eBay still uses Windows product key to try and link accounts?
 

I know that eBay does not use the windows product key to link accounts anymore, but if eBay is suspicious about an account and they think it could be linked to a suspended account but they cannot find enough similarity's to justify a suspension, isn't it feasible that they may still check to see if the product key is the same on the 2 accounts.

Or if you create a new account with the same product key could this still possibly raise a red flag for eBay to investigate?

Just to be safe I always reformat windows with a different product key (I use a pirated copy) but is this even necessary.

There is probably no way to know for sure but does anyone else think this is a possibility?:noidea:

The possibility is very low. because many people are still using the same leaked product keys.

I would say Microsoft could probably be more interested to do something first on it.

If that is the case then no one on a Macintosh, Unix, or Linux would ever get linked.
Not very likely that eBay uses the Widows product Keys...

Apart from that, some product keys are release as a bulk license so they are used on many machines, not just one. So unless they are in an agreement with Microsoft then there's no way of telling which product keys these are.

No way. There are a ton of people who use pirated keys as well. A lot unknowingly. Theres no way.
