| iamlmfao | 10-19-2019 12:07 AM | buyer is scamming me so i sold something for over 1k.
Buyer signs for it. then opens a item not described case then writes item not received. Says i sent empty envelope and uploads a picture of an empty envelope. Am I going to lose over 1k? |
| agent006140 | 10-19-2019 06:48 AM | Re: buyer is scamming me post weight means nothing,I CAN PRint a shipping label putting whatever weight I like,it does not have to be the weight of the item.
You are screwed, there is no seller protection for INAD,he would be asked to return the item with tracking and signature and get his money back.
You should report him so if he keeps doing it,he will be suspended from buying ,not selling |
| agent006140 | 10-19-2019 06:49 AM | Re: buyer is scamming me if the envelope has been tempered, you can ask him to file a report with USPS.
Is the shipment insured? |
| phaz0rz | 10-19-2019 06:51 AM | Re: buyer is scamming me You're most likely screwed, TBH.
Buy the item back when the scammer lists it, then repeat what they did to you. |
| pothos | 10-19-2019 12:15 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me Tell the scammer that you are going to do the things below.
1. File police report
2. File FBI report
3. Forward these police report to his local post office and all the big stores (amazon, ebay, bestbuy, costco, macy... etc)
4. Major banks in his city
We, the poor sellers, should team up and find a collection agency who is willing to work with us. The collection agency only deals with people who have a lot of debts and ignore us. However, if we team up as a group and we have a lot of business for them, that might work. Anyone interested in this idea, please pm me. I hate being scammed by these people who want free products. |
| iamlmfao | 10-19-2019 02:39 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me the funny thing about this, is that this buyer was dropshipping to there buyer. not only that, this buyer sent me an email (dont know how they got my email) for drop shipping instructions. and also sent me there phone number through ebay messages. isnt that a total ebay policy violation? |
| Pedroalva | 10-19-2019 02:50 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me You send a message to buyer that you do not take responsibility for the item received by a third person and your you do not usually do dropship |

IT would NOT work UNLESS their credit rating is affected, besides no one except the buyer and seller knows who is telling the truth.
SEE WE ARE Not professional retailers who have licnse, storefront, ongoing working relationship with manufacTurers and distributors,we dont have credibility?
TRY telling your cc issuer that Walmart,Bestbuy ,Macy sent you an empty envelope ?/ |
| agent006140 | 10-19-2019 03:30 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me I often wonder why Ebay does not have a physical presence in major cities and towns ?
AMZN has Go shop and yu can return your items at Kohl.
BBY,WMT,TGT of course have both internet and physical locations, you can buy online and pick up in store.
It does not have to be a fancy place,I drive by so many empty store fronts ,all Ebay has to do is to open some locations ,manned by Ebay rep and some volunteers ,so people can ask questions, swap news and even buy shipping supplies and pick up samples,it would be nice if they can also drop off packages and have a cup of coffee.
all it needs is ample parking space.
It would also be a place for local pickup ,cash only, instead of having someone come to your house, buyer and seller could meet in a well lit public place . |
| itsmewei | 10-19-2019 05:02 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me Sad to know this.
When in doubt, ebay/paypal will always protect the buyers. |
| nickopedia | 10-19-2019 05:34 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me OP, so sorry to hear this. I've had it happen to me more than once myself. |

and I have been selling for more than 2o years.
Always try to resolve before buyer goes to his cc issuer. |
| agent006140 | 10-20-2019 03:08 PM | Re: buyer is scamming me It looks like we are heading into a recession, companies are laying off people,HP,WE Work,Cat,Uber,Kroger and some of the GM suppliers.
If you are selling items which can easily be turned into cash, just be careful |

I like to see America suffer. cause all they do is make us hard workers suffer anyways. Cant even make an ebay account now anyways without getting suspended a million times. #bringontherecessionbaby |
