Next, people will be using seperate user accounts for aspkin and ebay!
Although.....if eBay hacked this site and saw all our IP's, I'd be stuffed! |

BUT, and this is what I want you to understand. ebay is 'spreading' itself about. Banners for ebay are appearing on different sites, eg yahoo, gumtree & sites that have a lot of traffic.
So to ensure that 'YOU' keep yourself safe, start making a habit of never ever, never having your stealth account open IF you surf the net. There may be nasties like flash cookies, beacons that could damage your account. There is no reason that you can not train yourself to be careful: it will be your own laziness if you get linked especially if you have taken on board the advise given here.
AND, wth is this about 'signing into an old email associated with a suspended account? Why? Are you taking steps to prevent being linked? Be careful: you are going to make a mistake. :peace: |
| Vicvelcro | 09-01-2009 06:00 PM | Not necessarily true. Directly, no link. But... some people are jerks and embed crap in their pages. You could get caught by a generic boobie trap. So keep your boobies put away. In other words, do your web browsing separate from your ecommerce and under a general windows login. Quote:

| uk_making_chatters_disapp | 09-09-2009 12:51 AM | linking snakes Dont be so sure how they link you cos i was linked to my sisters account which made and used her bank address etc....when i changed over i had a new ISP,a new computer etc so need to delete cookies and flash cookies cos it was a brand n ew computer..so how did they link me? the only thing i can think of and when you said life is not that complicated...well i suddenly remembered bloody skpye and then realised i used a banned email for my skype id but surely they are not this methodical...but how else? |
| GreenBean | 09-09-2009 01:03 AM | 'Linking snakes' :thumb: Too true. With ebay they are everywhere, so it is better to learn NOT to trust them & be careful with web usage |

1. Have you ever logged in your account from any of your sister's computer(s) before?
2. Did you sister work on any eBay stuffs from your new computer? or used your wireless/network if there is any. |

| schris142 | 04-06-2013 08:18 PM | if the link is on the ebay website tho wouldnt they know |
ok, nevermind I think I read your post wrong....So your having a facebook link IN your Ebay Listing... which is to your Real Name Facebook...
They probably would but not sure on that one. |
| schris142 | 04-06-2013 08:32 PM | if youve read it wrong ill try and explain better coz if you read it wrong then somebody else might lol
ive created a listing on ebay (which is in stealth mode) name dogerydoo (not my real name obviously)
on the listing there are 4 links to share it by either email, facebook, twitter and something else.
if i was to click the share on facebook it asks me to log into my real facebook account.
my real facebook account shows my real name and my address etc which is what i used for another ebay account that got suspended.
so are ebay clever enough to figure it out or is there another way to do it to drive people from facebook to my ebay listings. |
Right, I personally feel that ebay...might be able to link ya, so I personally would not risk it.
I do have an idea, what if you create a Facebook account for your stealth then have your real Facebook as a friend of the stealth Facebook so then you can share the link.
Hope that made sense. |
| schris142 | 04-06-2013 08:58 PM | that could work
i also thought of another way.
if i just tell people on facebook the item number then they can search for it and view it on there own ebay account.
so i wouldnt be sharing info from a ebay website id be sharing info from facebook too ebay website..
ive also just responded to another post
any ideas on what you think about it
i wonder if facebook is just as big or bigger than ebay as im seeing a lot of people selling on facebook so it might end up that people just sell on facebook rather than on ebay. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:27 PM. | |
