Return received issue refund by [date]

If eBay tells me to issue refund by date October 25, can I issue it on October 25? Anyone know the cutoff time before eBay gets involved themselves?

A lot of times it comes down to the hour that a notification was sent. For example, if you got the notification on 10/18 at 12PM PST, then expect it to last until 12PM PST on the last day. But I can't say for sure on refunds, because I never chance it.

It 100% works this way on unpaid items.

Dude, just refund the buyer if you received your goods back fine.

Otherwise it'll be a ding on your account if they escalate the claim.

Nah screw that, if eBay and PayPal will hold money, I’ll hold money to and put it to use until last minute. I feel no reason to be good to EBay or PayPal as they are rarely good to me. Customer wants a refund b/c he didn’t read the description is gonna cost me ~3% PayPal fees — I no longer play by the rules (and my accounts are in fine shape).

But your buyer could neg you if yu are slow to refund

Agent good point but I have found frequent communication can allow you to drag out the refund process. For example,

"We have received your return, please allow us 1-2 days for inspection"

"Your return has been approved and we are processing your refund, please allow up to 24-48 hours for refund"

Most by buyers compliment my communication while I hang onto the money and hedge it in various ways.

check your Paypal account,the minute he opens a dispute,Ebay locked up the payment,you dont have use of that money

I have funds now, my money isn’t taken during disputes. When you have good cash flow with eBay and PayPal, everything is smooth.

Do you have a Paypal fundnow account,if you do,then they do not hold up your fund in a dispute.
But you still have to refund,sooner or later,no one wants to wait too long for his refund
