Massive selling limit increase need advice

Hi so on my main stealth account I've had it for about 5 or 6 years I purchased from here. Very strong account but I've always had a 150/5000 limit. This has been fine for me with what I have been selling but this past year I started selling alot of smaller cheaper items in volume. I got increase to 200/10000 per month. I thought this was cool then I go to check a week ago and I see I've been bumped to 800/50,000 month! I'm completely shocked. Now I know it's not a good idea to just start maxing out the limits but my question is:

What would be a good limit to sell at with those sorts of limits?
Am I under any increased scrutiny now that my account is getting "bigger"?
Should I open a store?

Ive been selling random legit products from Walmart, target ect for like a dollar markup. I'd like to scale this with these new limits but I'm pretty nervous as I have a good thing going already and don't want to mess it up.

I see other competition who will literally list every single item in the store for a dollar markup and making hundreds of sales a week on the same account. I'd like to imitate this but the general rule of thumb around here is to spread sales.

Any advice?

retail arbitrage will get you banned from selling,those sellers selling for small markup would be banned,some have already been banned.
so if you want to arbitrage ,selling on ebay and then buy from AMZN,WMT,TGT,COSTCO etc and make them ship for you,be very discrete

Keep doing what you are doing and you will be fine. You are over thinking this. Your limits increased so you can sell more. There isnt anything else to it.

Why do they ban sellers that do retail arbitrage?
I get most of my items I sell on sale and sale for a small profit on eBay.
My account gets increases frequently

One of the biggest falsehoods is that a larger selling limit makes the account stronger. Simply not true.

It's how you use the account that matters.

Here's how much you can now list every month:

User ID: xyz

Items: 10000

Amount: $47,500.00 -> $90,500.00

These emails always scare me. When my accounts reach this level I almost feel like a manual review is triggered. All of my accounts have been suspended shortly after receiving these.

I had one account (stealth) that went from $45,200 to $179,200 in one jump. The funny thing about that account was that the most it would sell was maybe $12k in any given month. Kinda makes me wonder how eBay determines limit increases.

Ebay robots do this based on some moron assumption.

They can jump you $47,500.00 -> $90,500.00 one day, the next day you can list $500 and maybe they do MC011. Make sure you have good invoices and documents for this account. Ebay determines limits the same way they determine everything else, haphazardly.

That's correct, and why I never assume my account is stronger despite getting limit increases on it.

It has much more to do with what you list, and how many cases/complaints you get. If there are issues with your selling practices, then even an account with a $1 Million limit is meaningless.

I would suggest maintaining the same type of volume you're doing and slowly increase it. I'm a manufacturer of products and I sell some items where I lose $1 or so just to bump my denominator for any disputes, ect.

If you all of a sudden start increasing your listings it could raise a red flag, but I wouldn't be too concerned. Either way you should be safe.
