I recently tried to open a US Amazon seller account and being new to the online selling game did not realise about the utility bill issue and had my account suspended. I now want to create a US ebay seller account and want to make sure to avoid the same problem.
- So I live in Europe and have a US registered llc.
- The llc is registered at the physical address of an agent.
- I have all the company documents and EIN etc, but of course cannot register a utility to that address.
- For the ebay seller account if I understand correctly the verification seems to be done through Paypal.
- I have a Paypal account in the name of the llc, with a Transferwise account (also in the name of my llc) linked to the account.
- I also have a US credit card in my personal name linked to the account.
Will this cause a problem when verifying? Paypal have mentioned a number of documents that they accept for proof of physical address: articles of assoc, cert of good standing, ein letter etc. all of which I have, but will they also require a utility bill?
Is a Transferwise account ok for a business account?
And does the credit card need to be in the name of my business also?
Thanks in advance and apologies for all the questions, just want to make sure I do it right this time! |
