Can you sleep an auction?

With e bay being tougher this time of year I am considering placing BINs to make no sales until the new year. So I’d like to hide the listing but not close it down fully.

I know when I resurface it in the new year I will have lost the sales velocity but I would still have all the previous sales which I believe gives it some weight in ranking.

My question is can I play these auctions to sleep until a later date? Is the only way to do it is to open a store?

I’d rather not do that if possible as it costs money.

You can make BIN listings last forever with any type of account by enabling the "out of stock option" in your account settings. Out of stock option allows you to put a quantity of 0 for listings, keeping it up while you're sold out and retaining your sales history.

Doesn't work with auctions naturally because auctions have a time duration.

It won’t be hidden that way though will it?

I’d like it to be alive but not visible on the search results if possible?

The listing isn't shown in search results when the quantity is set to 0.

You can see the listing and edit it from your selling dashboard, but it's not visible to the public until you raise the quantity above 0.

Superb I didn’t think that was how it worked.

Thanks for the tip :d
