Taking over someone else's account

Hi, I recently bought an Ebay account as I was banned from my original account years ago but unfortunately this one didn't work out either as I didn't follow the instructions thoroughly enough. A family member however has offered me his account because he doesn't use it and has 100% feedback, what I wanted to know was if I can log onto his Ebay account on my PC (the PC I got my account banned on) without any issues? Or will it be flagged that a perfectly fine account is logging on to the same PC and IP address as a suspended account? Any help would be appreciated because I don't want to log on and have his account closed down instantly!

Thanks

Just create a new user account. And if in uk reset ye modem on & off to reset & get a new ip each time. Or get a dedicated new ip.

Thanks, so if I just set up another user account and reset the router I just need to change my current IP address and it should be fine to log into the other account? Like I said the account I will be using has already been set up years ago from another address, it's just a case of me not wanting it to get linked in any way to a suspended account so I want to make sure.

Re: Taking over someone else's account

DO NOT login on that PC, it will get linked. Do this, create a new user on window, get a mobile data sim, get a mobile wifi router.

Login to the new user on window, connect to the internet using the mobile wifi.

Dont forget to make window forget the old wifi network (the one you were using when you got banned) before you set up the new mobile wifi.

You should be fine.

Just get a new IP address, new user account, build up cookies and then start to slow slowly and 9 times out of 10 you will be fine.

I think reset your PC is the best solution,of course buy a new PC is better, but??
never log on to your suspended account.

Re: Taking over someone else's account

Hi, thank you for all the advice! I have noticed that my Ebay account was just a temporary restriction due to an invoice not having been paid, I have since paid it and my account is fully running again but I am restricted on PayPal. Does that mean I can still log into the new account on Ebay without any issues now I know the original account isn't suspended anymore, so I don't have any suspended accounts linked to this PC or IP address?

Re: Taking over someone else's account

sometimes a person can say I dont use my account, you can use mine, and then one day he is curious of what is going on and decide to log on .
just make sure you change the password ,what else do you need to change so he cant call and reset the password.

Re: Taking over someone else's account

if your old Ebay account is no longer restricted, because you paid your bills, then it is better not to use your friend's ebay account.
why is your Paypal account restricted?

Re: Taking over someone else's account

The person in question is my Dad but yes I will change the password. So there shouldn't be any issues with me logging in on my PC then? Will there be any issues of logging into his PayPal while mine is restricted?

They are asking for proof of invoices from suppliers even though I only have 6 feedback and haven't sold the same thing twice, I can't get a reply from them though

Then just make sure that you switch off your router long enough for it to reset the IP.

Is that how it works in the UK? Must be nice...

He IS assuming the IP is dynamic, some arent, so its not really a good idea to give OP.

Better to ask him to write down his ip, reset and check if its still the same....

These people have given you good basic advice.
Moving forward I think it's even more important if you actually understand everything.

So start with the stealth guide.

Mine never changes.

who is your ISP?
In USA,the ones which never change are those who use their device as a server.
