Buyer tying to kill account?? Help
 

Hi all. I have a buyer who bought around 15 items from me last week. Some he bought double and triple of the same thing. Not cheap ( were talking 500£ ish? Still no payment after 7 days. No communication from him. I think he is also bidding on a load of stuff I have listed now as prices have got a bit silly and loads of bids all at once. If I cancel these he bought and block him . Can he leave me feedback for each one he bought?? I use global shipping program so he can only leave nuteral feedback I believe. But still it will be slot of nuteral feedback. Any ideas??? Help is always appreciated.

Unless he pays for them you dont need to worry about feedback

Ye he just bought a load more from me. Up to 28 things now. I'm gonna end my last few active listings. in 2 days open an unpaid item case for each. Then close it after 4 days and unless he pays (I'm guessing he won't) he can't leave feedback but he will have 28 strikes against his high feedback 2005 eBay account. Some people are idiots.

how can he leave feedback if he is a deadbeat?
Where is this buyer?
It is not uncommon buyers want to save on shipping so they will ask you for combined shipping once he is done bidding and buying.
why dont you ask him if this is his intention,7 days of no pay makes him a deadbeat.

we are allowed so many deadbeat strikes,Ebay will suspend our buying privilege,it was 3 strikes,dont know how much is it now

Hi. I list high priced buy it now for 10 hours a day. And 1 days auctions Fri and sat. Due to the nature of the product . With an auction eg: I list it for 10£ ,it's sells for 50£ then I can send a second chance offer to rest of bidders. (Sell3/4 at once). It's been working well for years. All the best

Sorry to hear about that - there are a lot of deadbeat buyers who do stuff just to try and kill other sellers.

James is right - buyer feedback is useless unless he pays - and tinsoldier's buy it now with immediate payment is right.

Block the buyer pronto

you can always call Ebay and ask them to remove negative feedbacks

I use auctions on new items I acquire to set the baseline price of what the item should bring as a BIN. Gives me a rough estimate except when a $4 item I listed for 9.99 goes to $125.

Call eBay about that person or block him so that he cannot shop from you.

So true. Although auctions work well for some people on this forum, it does come with some nasty problems, and I would never use it again.

BIN is the way to go. Sometimes I add best offers, but even those are set up to respond automatically.


I'd rather spend my time collating sales from multiple accounts than playing ping pong with customers.

Even if he leaves 28 negatives (he can't) they will not count against you. eBay has changed its policy to reflect this some time back.

By the way, you could use eBay settings to limit repeat purchases. I set this up on all my account to prevent this kind of activity.
eBay also provides you with a log of attempts and you'd be surprised what some buyers try to accomplish. Their names go from the log straight to my block list.

They might not show as 28 negs against your percentage, but those negs will still be there and visible.

I blocked him and blocked messages also. I was gonna open unpaid item cases for each 28 but I don't think I will. From his feedback I can see he sells similar items but only makes a few pound from each. I make a good amount a week depending how hard I work.(this is my job)He is a small time person who obv is pissed that I'm making more money. Anyways. I know not to put all my eggs in 1 account. I think this was a sign that this account was getting red hot. I'm gonna let this one chill n get couple others back up to scratch. I'm nice . But if he still fuks with me all hell will break loose . CS will remove that in a heartbeat and probably earmark the offending seller for feedback manipulation.

This sort of malicious action has been patched a long time ago.

By the way, OP says this person sells the same items. There could be a small chance he's reselling.
In my opinion, OP should wait and see what happens but immediately prevent incessant purchase from any single buyer.

that was a long time ago

I have tested it on a established account with good buying history with a few sellers who bought from me on another account and scammed me
had 21 strikes in 6 month and still running

I would have all 28 sales opened as unpaid cases, the buyer was not being nice when he tried to close you down, he will probably do it again on another ac**** you have.

In seller preferences you can block bidders who have had 2 more more item strikes in the last 6 months (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). But an established bidder account can bid on 1000's of items without anything happening (and then get MC011 for listing 1 item)
