eBay rep told me something interesting that I haven’t seen discussed here...
 

I currently have an eBay hold on my funds... I called eBay and the rep told me that I have 23 successfully shipped and delivered items and after 25 delivered items eBay will NEVER again hold my funds and if it ever happens again it will be PayPal that is holding funds ... did you guys know this? Is this true?

Well... the difference between eBay holds and PayPal holds are discussed all the time on this forum so not sure how you didn’t know about it lol

90 days, $250 and 25 sales and the holds mostly go away.
Been this way since they stared holds on new accounts and most likely why it is not talked about anymore.

90 days $250 and 25 sales eBay will stop the hold if you are an above average seller.

However I have had a week with transferring my immediate funds after 90 days and PayPal have put a hold on funds until confirmed delivered for a period of time.

Its not only eBay you have to prove yourself to its PayPal as well.

Well it seems now that when I add tracking to eBay it automatically adds it into PayPal as well so if i get hit with a PayPal hold after eBay hold gets lifted for the same issue I’m going to be pissed ...

Never knew it. Only though Paypal held funds, since paypal is the company WITH the funds.

Ebay TELLS paypal to put a hold on the funds, rather than the hold being pushed directly by paypal

Also if ebay has holds put on only eBay can remove them according to PayPal.
Now PayPal does holds to without eBay. I noticed as long as I shipped timely and ran my eBay as I should holds were gone rather quickly, however if you end up with any cases then PayPal may do holds again for a while.
I am on managed payments now and no holds but still takes longer than PayPal to show up in bank.

After eBay stops its with holding funds after 90 days, PayPal can with hold funds that eBay has cleared until the order has been delivered until they are satisfied that the seller is genuine and not cause problems in the future to buyers.

actually, paypal has always been able to do holds without ebay.
