Hazardous materials policy

Hello all,

I’ve had some listing removed by eBay because Of hazardous materials policy. I ship it by usps first class mail but in the listing I selected standard shipping and I didn’t indicate that it’ll be shipped by usps. Can someone explain how they were able to remove the listing please?

Thank you.

what makes you think this has got anything to do with USPS / shipping?

Is it not due to the item listed?

The message I received from eBay makes me think that. It says it in the message.

I think I'm not understanding something here.

From what I know USPS and eBay doesn't talk to each other?
If USPS has an issue with the content then they'd have told you directly I'd think

If USPS bans it,so would the other carriers.

Usps doesn’t ban it and it’s not banned by other carriers

The heck?! I've never experienced this myself.

What does the tracking update say btw?

If you relist it, they'll still take it down. Only the message won't be the same.

Have you faced this before?

No, I haven't had this particular message but that's clearly a boilerplate message. I can always tell when I see one. I've received a few messages that are similar in context but when I relist the item, they'll take it down a few months later and send a different vague message.

I've come to realise It's just lazy justification for items they consider to be in the grey area.

Can't find a good reason to remove a sellers' item? Make minor edits to a template and throw it at him.
