Verify Account to Buy Things on EB
 

I usually open a stealth account and buy stuff first before selling to build up some feedback. This didnt use to be a problem.

Recently on a new account, when I buy something, especially if its more than 1 item, I get a warning that for safety to EB blah,blah, blah. I need to phone in to EB to lift the restrictions. I phone in and they do some magic on their end, than I can make the purchase/s and pay for it.

Is this normal
Is it because they have linked me via PP or some other reason?

No its normal your not linking don't worry,
I wonder what happen when you phone in? what question do they ask? How many feedback have you got? And they actaully lift the limit then you can buy again?

Good. F8Cking idiots make up accounts and bid on 20 items and not pay. That is the first time in many years I heard of ebay doing something to help sellers.

Its a brand new acccount, so had 0 feedback. When I phone in, I explain the situation, they say they check a few things, than they tell me it's OK now and I can proceed with my order, than I can checkout and buy the items.
