Accepting credit card payments only on eBay
 

Hello!

From last 3 4 months i have been targeted by a scammer(s). I sell Sri Lankan tea products on eBay cost around $50-$100. and I ship them via economy post (Sri Lanka post) which take 25 to 40 days depending on the country/region.

But from last few months buyers suddenly started opening item not receiving cases with paypal way before the ebay estimated delivery dates. 9 out of my last 12 orders ended up getting paypal cases just 2 weeks after they were placed (all were opened exactly after 14 days/ claim it right away). even eBay gives 35 to 55 days of estimated delivery time, yet this person (I believe this is the same person with multiple accounts) open cases with paypal after two weeks.

Sri lanka post tracking numbers stop giving updates after package reach the destination country. so I had no other option but refund when these cases were opened.

Not only that, my ebay account got suspended too due to this issue. when I refund buyers after two weeks, as I refund them way before the estimated delivery dates, ebay counted them as "cancelling due to being out of stock" and my selling performance went below average.

If someone really didn't receive the order they have 30 days since the estimated delivery ends to open a case with ebay and solve the matter.
Paypal just ridiculous, giving buyers to open cases at anytime, until 180 days as well.

So all I want to know, Is there a way to accept only credit card payments on eBay and disable paypal payments?

But on ebay, I have seen at some checkouts paypal is not there as a payment option. only credit card option is there

It was possible on USA eBay up until last year. Went away when managed payments started rolling out.

If it's the same person, on different accounts, you'd be able to see it's the same address. Is it the same address?

It's Romanian eBay account (my one).
So ebay Germany allows you to refuse paypal payments, still you can link a pp account to receive credit card payments, right?

No, it's not the same address. actually not even same country. I think he has listed the same item on ebay or another platform. and drop-ship with me. if it's the same address, I wouldn't send the item.

everytime he buys 3 or 4 items worth around $200 and do the trick.

I guess he has few visa/master/credit cards. he link a card with a paypal account, make 2/3 payments, after two weeks get the refund, after money came back to card, remove the card, close the paypal account and create another paypal account. link the same card and do it again and again. Or he has online wallet which gives you many free VCCs, he just load a card, link with a paypal and do the same. and after get the refund, cashout and delete the card, and get a new VCC
