using a family members account with new IP should i still use 90 day stealth guide
 

Hi I am using a family members account. They have had it 4 years and have bought items and sold about 4 in that period- second hand stuff. I am going to start selling on it with a new IP. Do I need to slowly put on items- 2/3 a week second hand - for 90 days or can i start more quickly?

If eBay suspends the account in a relatively short time, I take it your family member would not be too pleased.
Better to start slowly.

You can try to mitigate suspension by making sure of a few things:

1. Check the addresses on eBay and PayPal match the electoral roll
2. Have another landline run into the account's address. Then just forward all calls to a mobile phone. Stick the landline number on eBay / PayPal. It would cost you between £13 and 18.99 PM, but the benefit far outweighs the cost.
3. Start by selling unbranded stationeries, for example. List these as used using auction only for the first month.
4. Don't sell Vero.
5. Again, don't sell vero.

This account will easily scale the VAT and managed payments hurdles, so you don't want to mess it up.

i have opened an account on my wife's name. i sold £7k in first month and £11k on the 2nd, no issues. i sold only vero items (samsung, wd and toshiba, all used condition)
i have made few purchases before staring to sell
if you clean, they won't touch you for no reason

Don't be so sure about that. I'd slow down and veer away from vero if I were you. A non-stealth account has so much potential to be risked like that.
