How to get higher selling limits???
 

Hi Folks,

Nowadays eBay gives just 20-30 items selling limits to newly created accounts.
I suppose there should be some things to now how to answer to rep's questions and how to prepare account prior to calling/chatting to them with a request of an increase.

Please do not offer to wait when the system increases limits in natural way, because many of us need to list many in order to sell something. 10-30 items limits won't work in our case, needed at least 150 items in the very beginning.

Advice of experienced users is highly appreciated.

i made 2 accounts today and i got 5k limits on each but as the poster above said, they get suspended faster than small limit accounts

You're likely to get suspended if you sell a ton of items in your first month.
Go with what you've been given and allow your limits to increase naturally.

Although safe, this can seem pretty slow but at least you'd have a working account. You wouldn't even be bothered if you have a handful of accounts to spread sales.

What is a ton of items? I usually only sell two to three items per day, is that too many to start with?

Cannot agree with the comments, at least about starting with 10 items.
If it is risky to request increase from the beginning, how then people sell newly created accounts with 350 items???? How do the increase if the rep does not give more than 100-150.

I see some people say it’s better not to Max out on monthly selling limits and some say to use selling limits. What’s the difference between the two if anyone knows it?

I'm new to stealth and can already tell you that 150 listings from the very beginning is way too ambitious

Hi all I can sell up to 4K a month I keep getting to this limit so I email them and asked to upgrade so I can sell more I got a email back asking a number of questions I answer all only ones I could not answer was if I was a bussiness my tax code ! What sort of reply has any one had back will they increase the limit ? My feedback and selling level is above standard

Glad you're playing it safe. If you could, use RM 24 / 48 for postage and you'd get free tracking.

In my experience, this sort of bullet-proofs our accounts. We're mostly not looking for the funds to get released, just building trust with eBay / PayPal.

Another thing that appears to help is feedback.
