How long do Stealth eBay+PayPal accounts last?
 

If I purchased a Australia eBay+PayPal setup with a $25k limit, age it 3 months before selling $1100 - 2,250 AUD items, how long will the accounts last on average before getting shutdown?

I plan to sell low-risk items.

Pointless ageing the account whilst it is inactive. The account starts aging after your first sale.

You get judged on the first item you sell. And over the course of 3-6 months ebay / paypal bots keep an eye on the pattern of sales. If you sell too much too fast, you get asked for invoices / supplier information / photo ID etc.

You have to sell steady, low risk items and after a year I would say your stealth account will be strong enough to start selling $1000+ items on a regular basis.

I can't be selling BS items for one year. My products are worth $1000+ and anything that cost less, I'm just selling to age my accounts.

I got to find someone with a high limit eBay account to team up with.

You can get creative, try and call in after like 4-6 months and ask for permission to sell those expensive items by asking questions like you intend to start a new business is there anything you need to do etc. That may make yourself look less risky to paypal.

This is why everyone should have multiple stealth accounts so they can experiment.

Difficult to say exactly since the items are pretty pricey - you ever do business accounts?

an alarm will sound off if you sell outside the normal price range,say you sell 10-50 dollars items and then $1-3K items popped up,if they are high risk and new.

The items I sell are not easy to sell items, nor are the items in a specific niche. Basically I can source large amounts of random items that take a long time to sale. So I need a huge platform like eBay.

I've never tried. So you're saying if I open a business account with eBay and PayPal, my limits will be higher?

I don't currently have a eBay account. My normal price range is $1K-$3K

I'm only going to sell ****ty $50 dollar items to age my eBay and PayPal accounts.

You have to think long term with ebay. If this was 2017 I would say create 5 stealth accounts, get sales going of something inexpensive like packaging material for parcels or whatever. Sell them. Get feedback. 6 months later start listing the items you plan to sell but spread it out over 5 accounts.

However with ebay managed payments on the horizon it's already a stressful time for many of us that have been stealthing for a while. So we already have something new that could potentially end "stealth" on personal accounts to worry about. So there isn't any point.

If you don't think your business will work on stealth time to find something new or give up entirely and get a job outside of ebay.

Having worked for a bank, little old Omani knows a few tricks and eBay managed payments ain't a problem for me. In fact I prefer it, that way I won't have to deal with PayPal.

I was however just yesterday thinking of starting a sourcing and fulfillment service for dropshippers so I don't have to deal with eBay either.

as a us seller,
I sell tons of $50-100 items
get the account created and each month sell 2-4 low risk quick sale items, during the third month add a regular item around 50 or less.
your good after that.
make sure you created your PayPal and are using it on the account so it is 3 months aged also.

a year ago, I did this same thing for only a month and the 2nd month sold like 8-10 of the $50 item no problems.

also if you get a 5 item or 10 item limits sell to that limit in the 2nd or 3rd month and I'll get bumped up quick

if you do things right and you're disciplined with your routine, IP checks, shipping etc it could last forever pretty much.

But then again you'll have to know what you're doing and you need a strong foundation on stealth

It will probably take one year to get it to where I want it to be, so I'd hate for my account to get shutdown after putting in so much work selling stupid little products to try and age it.

Then work with multiple accounts.

It'll help you reach your goal this way and it's less risky.

It last until the bot has its coffee break
