Ebay user selling cracked software
 

So i found an individual who is selling a lot of cracked software and when you purchase from him, he's automatically giving you links for you to download the pirated software, how is this allowed and not banned straight away? obviously it's not advertised as cracked/pirated but only 2 people gave him negative out of hundreds, are people really this dumb and don't realize it's cracked/illegal software?

People aren't dumb, they know what they are buying. Some people are happy paying a low price for the convenience of cracked software. Beats trying to download it yourself.

Having said that, i just checked and he's finally suspended, took a while though considering he's got 160 feedback and only a small percentage of people leave feedback. He'll just make another account and repeat, i do think some people are computer illiterate and don't understand piracy and downloading it yourself is very easy if you've used a computer for longer than a few months.

Nothing to do with illiteracy. Not everyone enjoys navigating porn pop ups, malware, spyware to try and get free software through torrents or warez sites.

They would rather pay £10-50 to save their precious time.

£4-£8 actually and i'm not sure why you're making a simple task out to be difficult, ublock origin blocks 99% of addons, all you have to do is search the torrent and click download/magnet download, not difficult at all so these people simply do not know how easily these softwares can be downloaded/pirated, and most are probably computer illiterate. And i checked and he's already on a different account, i guess it will take ebay another month to ban him.

Well whatever, not sure why you're wasting your time following him. He will soon be traced / found by the software companies and prosecuted. There is no future in selling pirate software.

Not wasting time, i just happened to be linked him by a friend and found it interesting how Ebay were taking a long time to suspend his account, and i doubt companies would trace him when he's using stealth accounts, they would rather just suspend his accounts and i agree such illegal activities are not worthwhile in any sense.

Is it an issue for you? Personally, and no offence meant, I cannot understand why you are getting vexed about what someone else is doing on Ebay if it does not affect you

No not an issue, what's wrong with everyone on this forum? why are you people so aggressive and rude? it's just a simple question on why ebay were taking so long to suspend him, i'm not getting vexed i was just curious and since it's a public forum and all... oh well. Is my post an issue for you? yes? then why bother posting and not just ignoring it?

Lol, it's the nature of this thread. You're wondering why somebody selling pirate software isn't being immediately banned. It's the same reason why sellers selling counterfeit clothing don't get banned immediately. It takes a while for the bots to pick it up or people to report them.

You're right, they can just keep making stealth accounts and carry on selling, but won't be long before the software companies eventually find them and prosecute. They have their methods.

Already told staff to delete this thread over a day ago but no response, seems Saijin is too busy forcefully trying to display my flag when i didn't intend to do so, what a pathetic guy he is truly, never seen someone so petty.

A forum that costs you nothing, that offers advise where it can, and you call the admins pathetic because they don't jump at your command - do you think maybe it is you that has an attitude problem?

Firstly, i only have an issue with a single moderator and that isn't without proper cause, i don't have any problems with any other staff/admins or members, nor have i said or done anything to indicate this so you simply made this up for whatever reason. Secondly, i am grateful for all advice i receive and this issue did not arise because of "advice" i received, i had a disagreement with the moderator and they then proceeded to stalk my other posts and post passive-aggressive replies and then probably messaged an admin who forcefully changed my profile to display my country flag even though i clearly did not wish/intend to do so. which is quite petty and unprofessional of a staff member and i'm not going to apologize for calling them out. Also i'm not entirely sure what you mean with "jump at your command", when have i ever demanded someone to help me? never-mind staff members, anyone at all? i haven't so what you're saying is simply not true at all in any sense. It's a public forum, i have the right to disagree with a member whether it be staff or regular and voice my own opinion on the matter. And why is this thread still not deleted? so much for moderation.

I agree. I was able to tell early on. And as I already mentioned above, there is no future in "phake" anything.

Just because you say something doesn't make it true. I'm not interested in it but i'd have a better chance of winning the lottery than convincing arrogant obnoxious people like yourself. I already know how to make money illegally via ebay, digital stuff is a kids game and i'm not interested in it or any other illegal activities. My question was completely different and not indicating i have any interest in digital sales but once again you people are so quick to make assumptions, sadly wrong i'm afraid.
