ATO of a 2006 Australia eBay account

Seen this girl selling her 2006 Australia eBay account, I was too late to the party to buy it but what she did was remove her payment details and address.

The account sold for the tiny sum of $220AUD!!!

Alot of changes will have to be made to the account, new address added, new bank/card linked, new phone number, new email, new device, new IP.....

What are the chances an eBay account will survive all these big changes? I mean to eBay it might look like the account got hacked.

I'm thinking about advertising to buy a real eBay account.

Any thoughts?

Because after 3 months I'll probably only have a $2000 limit if I started from scratch. With a 2006 account, depending on the selling history of the account, I imagine the limits will be higher?

I could ask the person selling the account to add my email to the account from their own IP/device and throw them an extra $50 for their troubles. I'll offer $100 to buy their SIM, and make the other changes after eBay gets familiar with my device/IP.

No mate, I mean a SIM associated/used to setup a eBay account, not a random SIM.

Your SIM will be associated with a Stealth account or suspended eBay account anyway.

The only worth it has is it is most likely an aged SIM. eBay/PayPal see newly registered SIM's as burner SIM's.

I’m lost for words as to what to say....

Can you please stick to facts and don’t just make things up as you go along because it’s going to be difficult for people to help you if you just throw out the sorts of brand statements that have no actual basis in fact

Would a really aged account to be better than a new account? To a degree yes it will be. Will it have higher selling limits? That entirely depends on if it’s ever actually sold anything in the past

Will the eBay account survive all the details being changed? That’s just impossible to know in advance but it’s really not the best of practices

I'm not making up anything.

And yes of course the selling limits will depend on the selling history of the account.

I'll try changing the details over an extended period of time and hope for the best.

In which case it would be great to see the evidence that demonstrates that this is a fact

Of course you are, JN101 called you out on your 'burner sim' bull$hit.

JN101 doesn't understand how fraud detection systems work, these systems can detect any abnormalities on your accounts. That is why you guys have to sell really low risk, low cost items because your guys accounts are weak and won't survive maxing your limits out in the first month.

Sure I'll just go a head and show you the back end of eBay and PayPal's in-house fraud detection systems. Would it be easier if I just gave you access to the systems so you can have a poke around?

You’re 100% certain that what you have said is a fact therefore you must have some proof to demonstrate that. If you don’t then it’s not a fact it’s simply your speculation

If you are such an expert in all these things I’m not quite sure why it is you’re asking for us to give an opinion?

I think your find these days even accounts made in completely real details if you max out within the first month will quite often be hit with a suspension. It won’t always happen just like it doesn’t always happen on a stealth account when you max out within the first month but it can happen and the whole point of running multiple accounts is to limit risk as much as possible and build lots of accounts that are long-term give fantastic returns.

Okay we'll just have to call it speculation. We'll just assume giants like eBay and PayPal have no burner phone detection technology to detect newly registered SIM's, even though this is standard technology for normal big ecommerce sites.

If you don’t have a fact to back something up then yes that is speculation it’s literally the definition of it....

It seems like you think you know what you’re doing though... so good luck with that

To an extend, yes. But I do have limited experience with eBay and PayPal. That is why I ask questions.
