How to save my german eBay Account
 

Hey guys. I have an old german ebay account which I used for purchases and a few years sgo also to sell stuff. Last week I thought of start selling again. After a few sold items I got a mail about the VAT certificate.
Since I have no company (Gewerbe) I can't get the certificate. Is there any other way to keep this account? Even just for buying stuff. For selling I would make a new one in NL or some other place.

your account will be only restricted for selling in germany or on other ebay platforms with germany as location. It will not be suspended even if the email says so.

you can open an "Einzelunternehmen" and request the §22f certificate. it is very easy and free. You do not even need to pay VAT this way and can continue using this account.

If you start to sell in germany with a buissnes account they will always ask for this certificate, no matter in which country the account is registred.

you can also open a private account and they will never ask for it. but if you sell a lot they will tell you to upgrade and will request it then
